PPP Approved

This is another good news! I'm glad today because when I open my email through my phone, I got message in my inbox from PPP with the subject "Your Blog Has Been Approved". I just applied lastnight and I can't believe how quick they approve my blog. From now and then I can monetize my blog by taking opportunities from them(if there's any left over for me hehehe).

I wanna extend my thanks to Jackie who spends time in helping me. "Salamat gyud kaayo jack".

CNA Certification

My employer to be asked me if I already get my official CNA certification. I don't notice that it's more than 16 weeks already but I haven't get my certification yet. I'm suppose to receive it within 16 weeks/4 months from the time I passed the test (Jan 11th, 2008).

I called the California Department of Health Services and asked my certification. I was shock when the lady told me that they don't have the record showing I passed the skill test. I asked her what should I do? She told me to call the American Redcross to find out what happen and I did. I called different American Redcross chapters, there was one lady told me "sorry I can't help your problem". I was like well who I can talk too who would love to help me since DHS told me to call American Redcross? She said check online. I searched online for American Redcross numbers and I was able to talk to a nice lady(Los Angeles chapter). Again I asked her about my certification and so she checked but unfortunately my name is not there. WTF!!! She told me to call Santa Cruz county chapter and find out. I said, I already called there but one lady said she can't help me. So the nice lady called the Santa Cruz chapter for me. After that, she gave me a call back saying that the Santa Cruz chapter messed up. Somehow they didn't send the original documents to the main American Redcross as a proof that I passed the skill test. She added, she will call and give me updates on friday!

Though they messed up, I always have the proof with me that I passed both the skills and written portions of the State Competency examination.

Good News of Today

Today 5/27 I got a call from a lady (Director of Staff Development) of Windsor Gardens Rehabilitation Center. She asked me if I'm still interested in working in their nursing home care.

Two months ago in March she hired me already but then I could'nt work right away because I had vacation planned already. I told her I'll be back the 1st week of April. She said "Ok just come back to my office or call me after your vacation so we can talk about your schedule". When I got back from our Mexico cruise, I checked my phone and she had left messages saying she wants me to attend the orientation so I can start working. I called her back to let her know that I just get home from our cruise. She said "call me by April 8th so we can talk the schedule of your orientation". But I didn't call her by April 8th (I'm bad girl). Well, I got sick that time and also I needed to make up my school since I missed 1 week of school.

Anyway, earlier after school I went to her office because I told her I'm still interested to work since school is going to end next week. It's perfect time for me to work in the summer because I'll only take online class in the summer. Taking care of patients will help me through in pursuing my RN.

1 Month in Blogging

My blog is now 1 month old since I started joining the blogosphere April 25th of last month. I'm kinda excited because Jackie told me before that I can monetize my blog if I apply and get approval from advertising sites like PPP. But the thing is, there's no assurance if I get approval right away. I might have to apply a couple times before I get approved :) Oh boy! That's life!

Busy Saturday

How was my day? hehehe... I got up 12 noon since I'm alone (wheewww!!!). Then I started my day by cooking brunch for myself, turned on the music, checked my computer and talked to Em and Myrna. After all those, I started doing house chores since my house was messy hahahaha. When I finished the general cleaning around 5:30pm, I went to store for grocery shopping and then came home and cooked. Then I invited my friend Rosa to come over my house to have dinner with me. We had karaoke and drink couple beers after dinner :) I actually have video and trying to upload it in here but there's error. I think it's because the video is bigger than 100MB.

My Beauty Secrets???

My everdearest friend Nice passed this on me. Salamat nice!!!...But I dont think if I have beauty secrets to reveal because I don't have beauty hahahaha..Ok now let me see if I can answer this questions :)

My Foundation: I dont wear foundation.

Why? Because I don't hehehe (boring noh)

My Essential Beauty Product: lipshiner and sometimes I put mascara on:)

My favorite Make-up product: Not sure because I only put make up on when there's occassion.

My Perfume: celine dion perfume, sexy pink, very sexy etc...

My Nails: not painted

My Feet: I just put regular lotion

My hands: same as my feet, I just use Bath and Body works lotion

Nintendo Wii

Have you hear of this game? Last christmas, I remember so many people falling in line infront of the store to buy this game. I know because I was one of those people hahahaha. Early at 7am, I went to Toys R Us to buy Wii but then they were out because the guy told me people were already falling in line around 2am. It was first come first serve. That's how crazy it was. After that, I went to Best Buy and hoping I can get the game but then they were out also for the same reason. Then for the last time I went to Target. By the time I got there, there was a long line already. So I asked one guy if they still have stock in the store because I didn't wanna fall in line for nothing. He answered yes!!! I was the 84th person in line :) I think there were about a 100 people in line. Anyway that's what I got from last minute shopping hahhahha. I really wanted to get the game since my husbee likes video games and Wii was one of his xmas lists. Yeah!! it's not what you think hhehe he just like video games.

Wii is not just a gaming console. It's a reason to get together with your friends and family and play today's hottest games. You can play with friends online over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or use the Internet Channel to surf the net from your couch.

Wow!!! finally I'm done.

I'm done visiting and dropping some messages to everybody in my blogroll. I can't believe this. It took me 2 hrs and 37 minutes to do that. This is almost like my Physiology Lab class which starts at 11am - 2pm. In my Physiology class, sometimes I get sleepy because it's 3 hrs but I can stay up too late doing blog hop hahaha. What the f.....

I decided to.....

Lastnight, I posted about going camping again but I was too lazy to packed my clothes lastnight because I spent too long in front of the computer. When husbee got home from work, he asked me if I pack and good to go for camping and I answered NO with a smile. Anyways this morning, I was supposed to pack clothes before going to school but I changed my mind:) I decided to just stay at home. This way I can study in advance for my final exam.

Camping Again???

The most part I like when we go camping is the 4wheeling part. Tomorrow my husbee is going camping again and I wanna go too but I'm thinking that my final exam is coming up, which means I really have to buckle down and study:( Poor me!!!! This morning before husbee went to work, he told me to pack my clothes for camping when I get home from school but until now I haven't pack yet. Oh boy! If I can't post something tomorrow and bloghop, that means I'm with husbee hahahaha.....

Wedding Invitations

I will get married tomorrow and you're all invited!!!hahaha joke

Talking about wedding, ohhh is not that easy. It's like a Math classes that if you don't know how to solve, it get's complicated... so much stuff to prepare.

When my husbee and I got married, I'm lucky to have the supportive parent's in law. They did all the preparations. It includes the reservation for the reception ,weddinginvitations, and decorations, etc. I think all I did aside that I bought my wedding dress in the Philippines, when I got here I had to pick flowers and cake I like. But that's about it. Everything was organized and we had a great wedding. Thank you to our wedding planner!

Olive Oil & Wine

Are you using olive oil at home when your cooking? Do you drink wine? or both? I'm not talking about "tuba" (filipino version nga wine....coconut wine) hahaha just kidding!

Here in California, there are so many wineries who make wines of course. But why is my topic is about olive oil and wine? hehehe... Well my husbee likes to use olive oil than vegetable oil when he cooks and also because he likes to drink wine. So we ordered olive oil and wine and we got them yesterday. We bought the wine and olive oil from Pietra Santa Winery. We know this winery because of mom and husbee likes their wines. If you like to drink wine, you can check the link and order online.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr I'm mad

You wonder why? Well, not really a big issue but I just hate my internet connection in my laptop right now. I had trouble of uploading our camping pictures because in the middle of the uploading process, my laptop connection is somehow won't connect to the internet.It took me for so long to upload. Right now, I'm using the desktop but all my picture files are in my laptop. Too much work to download my files from the laptop to the desktop. (tapulan jud)
I think I need to buy a new router.

4wheeling/camping @ Blue Canyon

I'm finally done grabbing tags hehehehe... As I promise last time, I'm going to post pictures from our 4wheeling trip. We got there Friday afternoon. We had fun again. The weather was perfect. Where we went (Blue Canyon)was not cold and not warm. We never got to use our heater during the night.

Getting to know me

I'll be gone again

Tomorrow after school, my dear husbee and I will go 4wheeling/camping. Yeah!!! I don't have to drive tomorrow because he's going to take me to school and then wait for 3 hrs since my first class starts at 8-8:50am and my other class at 10-10:50am. After that we will be heading for our 4wheeling trip:)
My friend Rosa will be with us too because I invited her to go. This is going to be her first time. Luckily her husband said "yes". Patrick (Rosa's husband) has to stay for work reason.
I'm not exactly sure of where we will be going but probably in the middle of no where hehehehe. I will be gone for few days which means I can't check my blog and do blog hopping.

Sony Camera

Taking pictures is my passion. Wherever I go, I take pictures. Also I like to go over and look pictures in my camera before I download the pics in my computer:) But for almost three months I didnt have camera because I threw our old camera (for stupid reason hahahaha). I really thought that my husbee won't give me a new camera no more but luckily on my birthday last year he gave me a new one as his birthday gift. Family Party

My dear husbee and I went to Fresno last Saturday which is about 2-3 hrs from our house. We went there for mothers day family party on Saturday night at Aunt Jenna's house. While drinking beers:), we were playing "washers". It was fun and we had so much fun:)

Gas prices increase, consumption decreases

As you can see the pictures, the gas prices are really high. I spent $65 to pump my car(full tank) the other day. This is just ridiculous! When I got here in 2006, it was only less than $3. That's how fast the increase of fuel prices.

Summer is a traditional time for roadtrips but it's no surprise that the increase of fuel prices has lead to stay-at-home vacations :) Am I right?

Today I hear from my classmates, that they do carpool to reduce fuel consumption and save money.How about you? What steps have you taken to reduce your fuel consumption?
Myself, planning to take some classes online during summer so that I don't need to drive and go to school everyday. That way, me and husbee can save money.

What a Horror Dad

Today, my husbee telling me about the news he read in the magazine. This is all about the guy named Josef Fritzl from Amstetten, Austria who imprisoned his daughter Elizabeth in a dingy dungeon for 24 years and fathering seven children with her.
Isn't that crazy? What's the reason behind this crime? Does he has a mental problem? These are the questions came up to my mind as my husbee was telling me the whole story.

(A.D.A.M.) Great Help!!!!

Are you familiar with this software? Well, I didn't have idea about this software till I took Human Anatomy last semester. It was hard that 3/4 or more of the class failed/withdrawn. The 1st week of school, there were many students who wanted to add the Human Anatomy class but they weren't able to get in because the class was full. However at the end of the semester, there were less than 20 out of 100 plus students who survived and passed the class. Luckily I was one of the 20:) Thanks God and to the ADAM program! This software/program helped me alot throughout the semester by knowing all 206 bones and more than 630 muscles in our body etc (but now kalimot na ko :)...The ADAM helped me familiarize the body parts which is really great! Seafood Stew and Leche flan

I'm supposedly in bed right now but I couldn't sleep because I got up late today (12pm). Around 1pm I did the house chores, grocery shopping and guess what I did cook too for our dinner. I don't usually cook but I realize that it's been a long time I haven't cook for my husbee, that's why I cooked "Seafood Stew and Leche flan" for our dinner earlier. According to my dear husbee the foods I cook are yummy:) I think he just said that so I will cook more oftentimes hahaahha...
